To depict a person′s life, a biography inevitably explores the feelings of the character. The writer also conveys his or her feelings through various ways while commenting on the character. Outsiders: Five Women Writers Who Changed the World, written by Lyndall Gordon, uncovers the passions of five female writers, celebrates the tenderness of the related male characters and expresses the empathy of the author, and therefore presents the characters′ authenticity and the author′s unique perspective.
