Exploration and Analysis of Young Mao Zedong’s Thought of Seeking Truth from Facts

实事求是是中国共产党的思想路线和毛泽东思想的精髓。虽然毛泽东赋予实事求是新的内涵与意义是在延安时期,但追溯其源头发现这无疑与他青年时期,深受湖湘文化经世致用思想的浸润、注重对社会真实情况的了解以及探寻适合中国国情的革命道路等密切相关。正是基于毛泽东青年时期的刻苦学习、勇于实践及孜孜探索,在后来的革命斗争中他才能用马克思主义的思想原则对实事求是进行创造性转化,使其从古代的一种治学精神逐渐转换成中国共产党认识世界和改造世界的锐利思想武器。

Seeking truth from facts is the ideological line of the Communist Party of China and the essence of Mao Zedong thought.Although Mao Zedong gave the new connotation and meaning of seeking truth from facts in the Yan’an period,it is undoubtedly related to his youth,deeply infiltrated by the thought of“applying theory to practice”of Huxiang culture,paying attention to the understanding of the real situation of the society,and exploring suitable road for China’s national conditions.It is precisely based on Mao Zedong’s assiduous study,courage to practice and diligent exploration in his youth that he was able to use Marxist ideological principles to creatively trans-form seeking truth from facts in the later revolutionary struggles,and gradually transformed it from an ancient schol-arly spirit into a sharp ideological weapon for understanding and transforming the world of the CPC.
