Metabolomics,as a systematic biology approach,has been applied in several fields,including sports.This paper focuses on the current research status of metabolomics in competitive sports such as sports training monitoring,sports selection,nutritional supplementation,and doping control and other sports practices,as well as the application of metabolomics in the intervention or treatment of diseases.The article also describes its shortcomings and future application prospects.
