正确认知党史功能是树立唯物史观和正确党史观的内在要求。百年党史对中国共产党事业发展具有多重的重要功能。党的十八大以来,习近平总书记多次以“教科书”“营养剂”“清醒剂”等鲜明用语对党史功能进行形象化概括。其核心要义在于:从“教科书”维度看,党史是开创新局、创新发展的宝贵资源;从“营养剂”维度看,党史是践行初心使命、保持自身过硬的精神力量;从“清醒剂”维度看,党史是增进团结统一、应对风险挑战的警醒标志。这三个维度相互联系、有机统一,共同构成了党史功能的时代表达,为新时代发展中国特色社会主义以及推进党的自我革命提供了深刻启迪和强劲动力。

To correctly understand the functions of the history of the CPC is the inherent requirement of establishing historical materialism and rational outlook on the CPC history. Past 100 years of the CPC history has multiple important functions for the development of the Party.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,President Xi Jinping has repeatedly visualized the functions of our Party history as “the textbook”,“the nutrient” and “the refresher”. The core meaning lies in the following aspects. From the perspective of “the textbook”,the history of the CPC is a valuable resource to learn from the experience and to create the future. From the perspective of “the nutrient”,the history of the CPC is the spiritual power to carry out the mission of the original aspiration and keep itself excellent. And “the refresher” means the Party’s history is and will always be a warning sign to enhance unity and cope with risks and challenges. These three dimensions are well interconnected and organically unified,and together they constituted the function of the CPC history,which provides profound inspiration and strong impetus for the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the promotion of the Party’s self-revolution in the new era.
