旅行与写作:赛珍珠的文学场域与叙事研究

Travel and Writing:an Approach into the Literary Spaces and Narrative in Pearl S.Buck′s Works

赛珍珠在中美文化和文学交流史上的重要地位与其成长环境、人生经历具有一体性。其文学地域空间契合美国出生地、中国成长地以及亚洲旅程途经地。以“旅行”为切入点,结合文献与文本梳理作家的旅行经历与路线,考察其代表性作品呈现的旅行空间,关注旅行之于文学叙事的价值内化作用,可以更加清晰地了解“赛珍珠现象”的地理学基础,亦可为旅行文学叙事研究提供实证。

Pearl S.Buck′s contribution to the cultural and literary exchanges between China and foreign countries is linked to her growing environment and life experience.Her life is dotted with various kinds of travels,and her literary geographical spaces are a reflection of stops in the lifelong journey through the United States,China and other Asian countries.Given all that,from a perspective of‘Travel’,this paper,based on a combing of literature and texts as well as a systematic study of the writer′s travel experience and route,literary spaces and their orientation in major works,may help gain an insight into the geographical basis of the emergence of“Pearl Buck phenomenon”,and appreciate Pearl S.Buck′s writings as a narrative case of travel literature.
