Beneneic acid is a white needle crystal or powder,combustible and low toxic.It has several alias,such as terephthalic acid,pine oil terephthalic acid and so on.Most of this product is used for the production of polyethylene terephthalate(polyester),which is an important raw material of polyester fiber,thin film,plastic products,insulation paint and plasticizer,but also used in the production of medicine,dye and other products.This paper introduces the overview and characteristics of the main production process,and analyzes the domestic production capacity and industry development status of terephthalic acid.
