This paper discusses the application of Python language to the statistics training course,tries to realize the simple linear regression algorithm by Python,and analyzes the relevant principle,function,usage and implementation of the linear regression algorithm with an example.With the Python language,important knowledge points of statistics can be directly displayed to students.It can fully mobilize the students'interest in learning,thus,the teaching quality can be improved,and the same scientific research and application effect can be realized compared with other statistical software.
