Foam water spray system as an automatic fire extinguishing system can put out solid and fuel fires efficiently and timely, which is very suitable for tunnel fire fighting. The foam water spray system was applied in Taihu Tunnel. The analysis is made in the aspects of the nozzle setting, protection zone division principle, system control principle, foam pump operation mode and pipe network pressure, etc., which can be referred for similar projects.
