Design and Application of Chinese Elements in Children’s Furniture

在经济全球化时代背景下,形成独特的本土风格可促进儿童家具市场发展,希望以中国文化符号作为儿童家具的设计元素,以此提高儿童对中国文化的认知与兴趣。通过对儿童家具与中国元素进行市场调研,了解儿童学习桌椅、儿童床等家具的发展现状,以及中国元素在美妆、家居、服饰等领域的应用方式。通过问卷调研,了解家长对中国传统文化的态度与偏好,以及儿童家具的使用情况。结合儿童生理与心理特征分析,提出儿童家具设计原则,包括安全环保性、功能性和符合儿童认知与审美。基于中国元素的运用下,提出儿童家具设计方法,包括图案装饰、造型重构和空间氛围营造,并进行设计实践,为中式儿童家具设计提供思路与方向。

In the era of economic globalization,the formation of unique local style can promote the development of children’s furniture market.Taking Chinese cultural symbols as the design elements of children’s furniture,the children’s cognition and interest in Chinese culture was expected to get promoted.By conducting market research on children’s furniture and Chinese elements,the development status of children’s desks and chairs,children’s beds and other furniture,as well as the application of Chinese elements in beauty makeup,home furnishing,clothing and other fields were obtained through careful analysis.Through questionnaire survey,the parental attitude and preference to Chinese traditional culture,as well as the usage of children’s furniture,were discovered.Based on the analysis of children’s physiological and psychological characteristics,the design principles of children’s furniture were put forward in aspects of safety and environmental protection,function,and the accordance of children’s cognition and aesthetics.Based on the application of Chinese elements,the design method of children’s furniture was conducted in aspects of pattern decoration,modeling reconstruction and space atmosphere construction.The design practice was carried out with an aim to provide ideas and directions for the design of Chinese children’s furniture.
