生物医学预印本平台的出版历史与现状的多维评价

Multidimensional Evaluation of the Publishing History and Status Quo of Biomedical Preprint Platforms

梳理了预印本出版模式面世近30年的发展历史和现阶段发展情况,分析对比了在新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情下国内外几个重要生物医学预印本平台bioRxiv、medRxiv和ChinaXiv的文章发表情况,结合疫情防控辩证地讨论了预印本平台出版模式发挥的作用,并和传统出版模式对比,从多维度评价预印本出版模式的优缺点,进一步从开放科学发展的背景下讨论了其发生发展的必然性和更新迭代的必要性。最后,基于中国预印本平台的现状,对其未来的发展提出需要从规范审核机制,优化平台体验,制定应急预案和提升服务功能着力的建议。

We reviewed the history and current development of the preprint publishing model in the past 30 years,analyzed and compared the publications on several important biomedical preprint platforms at home and abroad,such as bioRxiv,medRxiv and ChinaXiv,in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control,and discussed the role played by the preprint publishing in a dialectical manner.The strengths and weaknesses of the preprint publishing were evaluated from multiple dimensions comparing with the traditional publishing.The inevitability of its occurrence and development and the necessity of iteration were further discussed in the context of open science.Finally,based on the status quo of the preprint platform in China,we proposed suggestions for the future development in terms of standardizing the review mechanism,optimizing the platform experience,developing contingency plans,and improving service functions.
