《世说新语》桓温形象的建构与刘义庆的事功思想

The Construction of Huan Wen’s Image in Shishuo Xinyu and Liu Yiqing’s Thought of Achievement

在《世说新语》中,桓温是一位极力追求功业,团结世族,提拔寒门,致力于统一大业,然而却遭到重重阻碍,最终功业未成,暮年垂泪的悲剧英雄形象。而这在相当意义上是刘义庆的自我内心写照。刘义庆向往事功,向往统一大业,但现实却阻碍其建功,只能寄情文史,借“桓温”表达自己的思想。因此,看似是一部清谈集的《世说新语》,事实上正暗含了刘义庆的事功思想。

In Shishuo Xinyu(A New Account of Tales of the World)written by Liu Yiqing,Huan Wen made great efforts to pursue achievements,including uniting the clans,promoting the humble familiesand consolidating the Jingzhou Group,and devoting himself to the great cause of reunification.However,he was hindered by many obstacles.Finally,he became a tragic hero and cried in his old age,with his achievements were unsuccessful.In a sense,this is Liu Yiqing’s self-portrait.Liu Yiqing yearned for achievements and unification,but the reality hindered his success.He could only express his thoughts by“Huan Wen”.Therefore,Shishuo Xinyuseems to be works of philosophical prate,and implies Liu Yiqing’s thought of achievement.
