Comments on Western Research into the Relations Between Narrative and Emotions

自西方叙述学发轫以来,国内外学者,尤其是经典叙述学学者,对叙事文本的研究都聚焦于叙事结构、“语法”、视角等方面的研究,对叙事文本中的情感因素鲜有涉及。直到跨学科、跨媒介叙述学研究兴起后,学界才开始大力探讨叙事文本中的情感维度,相关的研究成果也日益增多。西方学界对叙事文本中的情感研究并非是一种单向度的研究,而是双向的研究,即叙事与情感是互相依存的关系。同时,叙事文本还是生产情感的刺激物,因此,叙事文本中的情感既有客观性又有主观性。

Since the birth of narratology,narrative scholars both at home and abroad,especially those studying classical narratology,have spent much time on the research into narrative structure,‘grammar’,focalization,etc.,rarely aware of the emotions in a narrative.Only after the rising of interdisciplinary and transmedial narrative research,academia began to vigorously explore the emotional aspects of narrative texts,and a growing number of relevant research results accumulated.On the whole,research on emotions from the perspective of narratology in Western academia is not confined to a monodirectional paradigm,but rather,a bidirectional paradigm,that is,the interdependent relationship between narrative texts and emotions.Meanwhile,narrative texts also serve as the stimuli for emotional generation in the reader.Thus,emotions in narrative texts are both objective and subjective.
