安大简《诗经》中的“蟡”字试析

A Textual Analysis of the Ancient Character“Gui(蟡)”in The Book of Songs Recorded on Bamboo Slips in the Warring States Period Collected by Anhui University

安徽大学藏战国竹简《诗经》中,有三个隶定为“蟡”的字,从古文字形体演变的角度来看,当是“为”字的后起分化字,实质上可以直接隶定成“为”。战国古文字材料中,“蟡”字形已经分化出来,分担了其所从出的母字“为”的部分表义功能。唯有如此,许慎在《说文解字》中将“蟡”视为“逶”字或体,而没有把“蟡”字单独列为字头才能得到合理的解释。

In The Book of Songs recorded on bamboo slips of the Warring States Period collected by Anhui University,there are three characters written as“Gui(蟡)”.From the perspective of the evolution of ancient Chinese characters,the three characters written as“Gui(蟡)”should be directly assigned to“Wei(为)”as its later differentiation characters.In the materials of ancient Chinese characters in the Warring States Period,the character“Gui(蟡)”has been differentiated,sharing part of the semantic function of the“mother character”of“Wei(为)”.It is thereby understandable that Xu Shen regarded“Gui(蟡)”as a variant of“Wei(逶)”in Origin of Chinese Characters without listing“Gui(蟡)”as a separate Chinese character.
