Discussion on Anti-Japanese Activities of Shanghai Postal Union during the September 18 to January 28 Incident

九一八事变后,上海掀起了声势浩大的抗日救国运动。上海邮务工会积极投入,从邮件检查、邮戳刻制、邮政通信等方面开展抵制日货运动。同时,以通电、集会、游行、示威等方式,揭露日军暴行,动员民众抗战。上海邮务工会奉南京国民政府为正统,为维护国家和民族利益,敦促宁粤和解,息争御侮。上海邮务工会坚持爱国主义和民族主义立场,猛烈抨击国民政府对日不抵抗政策。一·二八事变后,上海民众掀起抗日怒潮,上海邮务工会同仇敌忾,踊跃支前,坚决抗战,表现突出。

After the September 18 Incident,Shanghai launched a huge anti-Japanese national salvation movement.Shanghai Postal Union actively engaged in the campaign against Japanese goods from the aspects of mail inspection,postmark engraving,postal communication and so on.At the same time,the atrocities of the Japanese Army were exposed by means of telegraphs,rallies,marches and demonstrations,and the public was mobilized to fight against Japan.In order to safeguard the interests of the country and the nation,the Shanghai Postal Union accepted the Nanjing Nationalist Government as the orthodoxy and urged reconciliation between Guangdong and Nanjing.The postal workers’union maintained a patriotic and nationalist stance,fiercely attacking the Nationalist Government's policy of non-resistance to Japan.After the January 28 Incident,the people of Shanghai set off a tide of anti-Japanese anger,and the postal union joined hands and supported the Anti-Japanese War resolutely.
