[1]对每个人都友好是另一门学问,因为我们必须记住,仇敌可没有大小之分,而那些真正爱过某人的人,对任何人都会有一丝柔情。大多数人心中都真有几分善意。内史密斯(1)先生在他那部迷人的自传中说:“关于世人的忘恩负义和只顾自己,我已经听说过很多。我兴许是历来都鸿运高照,所以未曾遇到过那种无情无义的事情。”我的经历也同内史密斯先生一样。
