Objective To explore the influence of closed management on psychological stress and sleep quality of psychiatric medical staff during the COVID-19 epidemic. Methods A total of 215 psychiatric medical staff under closed management were evaluated by general information questionnaire, psychological stress scale and Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI) in the form of questionnaire star. Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between psychological stress and sleep quality, and multiple stepwise regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of psychological stress and sleep. Results The total score of psychological stress scale of medical staff was(24.73±9.13), and the total score of PSQI was(6.47±4.27). There were statistically significant differences in the total scores of psychological stress scale among psychiatric medical staff with different education levels(P<0.05). There were significant differences in the total scores of PSQI among psychiatric medical staff with different education levels, age groups and working years(P<0.05 or 0.01). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of psychological stress scale was positively correlated with the total score of PSQI(P<0.01). Stepwise regression analysis showed that the influencing factor of psychological stress of medical staff was educational level(P<0.05), and the influencing factor of sleep quality was working years(P<0.01). Conclusions Psychiatric medical staff under closed management have high psychological pressure and poor sleep quality. Among them, those with bachelor’s degree, especially those who have worked for 11-15 years, are at high risk.
