Two main aspects of the airworthiness requirements of one-component room temperature vulcanized(RTV)silicone sealants for aircraft are introduced.The first one is the quality assurance system,that is,Article 15,"Airworthiness Standards:Civil Aviation Chemicals"(CCAR-53),and the second is the product technical requirements,including MIL-A-46106B and MIL-A-46146B,which respectively point out the technical indicators that the deacidified and dealcoholated one-component RTV silicone sealants should meet,and the relevant precautions of surface treatment,gluing,vulcanization,repair and removal during the construction of one-component RTV silicone sealant are further expounded.To break the foreign monopoly of one-component RTV silicone sealants,it is necessary to actively carry out independent research and development of one-component RTV silicone sealants and formulate relevant technical standards.
