Video surveillance plays a vital role in every field of today’s society.In the video surveillance system,image compression technology is a key form of technology.The reasonable application of this technology can not only effectively eliminate the redundancy in video monitoring data,but also ensure the quality and smoothness of monitoring images.In order to realize the good application of image compression technology in the field of video surveillance,this paper analyzes its practical application in the video surveillance system,so as to provide scientific reference for the collaborative development of image compression technology and video surveillance system.
