This paper describes the structure of ZN12-12 vacuum circuit breaker and analyses the closing failure of this type of generator outlet circuit breaker.It also describes the occurrence and resolution of the fault,and draws a conclusion that the main cause of this closing fault is the failure of operating mechanism caused by the change of mechanical characteristics.In view of this kind of failure,corresponding preventive measures such as strengthening maintenance,shortening maintenance period,upgrading and transformation are put forward to effectively prevent similar problems.
