The cultural travel of jasmine as a plant has witnessed the development of human culture from segmentation to intercommunication.As jasmine entered China, its’ cultural meanings are changing from religious ones to secular ones, turning away from materiality to poeticality, and have developed into aesthetic cultural signs with Chinese characteristics through value reshaping in terms of religions, morality and aesthetics.With the development of modern media, both Chinese and Western jasmine cultures are based on jasmine as a plant, and engage in active dialogues in the space of the Silk Road by seeking common ground while reserving differences.Due to cross-language features of the music and the universal joy of the images, the Chinese folksong Jasmine Flower has stood out, has once become the representative with oriental characteristics, and jasmine culture has showed the trend of integration and convergence in cross-cultural communication.Jasmine being endowed with cultural connotations and aesthetic implications is the crystalization generated through cultural communication, and the evolution of cultural and aesthetic implications are in essence the collision and integration of different cultures.Starting with the individual plant spread and the addition and loss of aesthetic meanings, the article explores modes of cross-cultural communication and equal dialogues in the space of the Silk Road, and this offers a plausible method for the communication between contemporary Chinese and foreign cultures.
