《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》对中国抗战版画运动发展的推动作用

The Print Movement during the War of Resistance against Japan Promoted by Talks at the Yan’an Forum on Literature and Art

抗日战争全面爆发后,无论是在边区或大后方,由鲁迅倡导的新兴版画发展,在中国共产党的领导下,一批进步美术青年积极参与,成为中国抗日救亡文艺战线上的一支先锋队和生力军。在血与火的历练中,这支先锋队和生力军所为逐渐成就为一场革命艺术运动——中国抗战版画运动。1942年,毛泽东在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话,从马克思主义理论的高度,全面阐述了革命文艺运动和革命文艺工作的根本问题、方向问题,提出了一条无产阶级的革命文艺路线和方针。文艺为工农兵服务的方向,人民群众的生活是文学艺术取之不尽、用之不竭的源泉等英明论断,对于方兴未艾的中国抗战版画运动来说,其意义不仅在于帮助版画工作者解决了创作中遇到的一系列问题,更重要的是在于总结中国革命文艺二三十年来发展的历史经验及教训的基础上,为这场艺术运动指明了前进的方向,使其绵延数年而不衰。在中国抗日战争和中国近现代美术史上,抗战版画运动是具有深远历史影响和深刻现实意义的革命艺术运动。

After the outbreak of the War of Resistance against Japan,a number of progressive young artists were actively engaged in the newly-developed print movement advocated and fostered by Mr.Lu Xun under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,and formed a vanguard and a literary and artistic force whether at the border area or the rear area.Fighting with blood in flames of war,this force triggered a revolutionary art movement later the Chinese Print Movement.In 1942,Mao Zedong delivered a speech at the Yan’an Forum on Literature and Art,expounded the fundamental issues and directions of the revolutionary literary work and movement,and came up with a proletarian line and policy for revolutionary literature and art referring to Marxism.His wise assertions that literature and art serve the workers,peasants and soldiers and that the life of the people is an inexhaustible source of literature and art had a significant effect on the newly-developed Chinese Print Movement by solving a series of problems in printmakers’creation during the War of Resistance against Japan.More importantly,the talks gave a clear direction of this movement on the basis of experience and lessons learned from the history of the development of Chinese revolutionary literature and art over the past 20 or 30 years,making it last for several years.It is a revolutionary art movement with far-reaching historical influence and profound practical significance in the history of the War of Resistance against Japan and modern Chinese art.
