中国式现代化,是中国共产党领导的社会主义现代化,既有各国现代化的共同特征,更有基于自己国情的中国特色。中国式现代化,是人口规模巨大的现代化,是全体人民共同富裕的现代化,是物质文明和精神文明相协调的现代化,是人与自然和谐共生的现代化,是走和平发展道路的现代化。为实现民族强盛,从洋务运动、戊戌变法、辛亥革命,到民主主义革命,中国人从没有停止对现代化的探索与实践,但始终没有成功地找到一条现代化道路。在新中国成立特别是改革开放以来长期探索和实践基础上,经过党的十八大以来在理论上和实践上的创新突破,我们党成功推进和拓展了中国式现代化,走出了这条中国式现代化新道路。当然,要以中国式现代化全面推进中华民族伟大复兴绝不会一帆风顺,会有许多可以预见或难以预见的风险挑战,必须增强忧患意识。要实现中国式现代化,必须坚持以经济建设为中心不动摇,必须把高质量发展作为全面建设社会主义现代化国家的首要任务。必须坚持党的全面领导,必须坚持建设现代化经济体系和构建新发展格局协同推进。必须坚持全面深化改革,推进国家治理体系和治理能力现代化。必须坚持全面依法治国,推进法治中国建设。必须坚持全面从严治党,以党的自我革命引领社会革命。必须统筹好发展和安全,推进国家安全体系和能力现代化。

The Chinese path to modernization is the socialist type of modernization under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party.It shares similarities with many other countries’modernization processes,and also reflects national conditions and Chinese characteristics.The wellbeing for a huge size of population,the common prosperity for all,the balance between material and spiritual civilization,the harmony for the coexistence of human beings and nature,and the insistence on peaceful development are the connotation for the Chinese path to modernization.In order to build a prosperous and strong nation of China,generations of the Chinese people never stopped the exploration and practice of modernization,but failed in finding a successful modernization road from the Westernization Movement,the Reform Movement of 1898,the Revolution of 1911 to the Old Democratic Revolution.On the basis of this long-term exploration and the thorough practice since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,under the leadership of CPC,the Chinese path to modernization has been successfully promoted and expanded in terms of its theory and practice.The Reform and Opening Up and the 18th National Congress are the two very important milestones for the emergence of the innovative path to modernization with Chinese characteristics.Of course,to comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization will not be a smooth sailing.There will be many foreseeable or unpredictable risks,so we must be more aware of potential dangers in the process.To realize the modernization with the Chinese characteristics and to build a modern socialist country in a comprehensive way,we must unswervingly focus on economic development and make high-quality development the primary task.In addition,we must uphold the overall leadership of the Party and make concerted efforts to build a modern economic system and a new development pattern.We must deepen reform across the board and promote the modernization of China’s governance system and capacity.We must uphold the rule of law in all respects and promote the law-based governance in China.We must exercise comprehensive and strict self-governance over the Party,and guide social revolution through the Party’s self-revolution.We must balance the development and security,and promote the modernization of the national security systems and security-maintaining capabilities.
