摘要
在复杂动态系统理论视域下,采用可视化数据分析手段和回溯访谈,对两位不同初始水平的大学英语专业学习者进行历时4个学期的议论文写作个案研究,考察其显性(词干重叠和连词)及隐性(潜语义分析和时体一致)衔接手段发展变异特征。研究发现4个指标均呈非线性发展,存在变异性,且个体差异显著。词干重叠整体呈上升趋势,但仅高水平学习者发生显著分段发展;连词使用质量和多样性存在个体差异,总体对连词功能掌握不足;潜语义分析和时体一致虽有进步,但均未发生分段显著变异发展。该研究对二语写作教学有一定的指导意义。
From the perspective of the theory of complex dynamic systems and by means of visual data analysis and retrospective interviews,the thesis conducts a four-semester case study of argumentative writing on two college English majors at different levels to investigate the development and variation of their overt(stem overlapping and conjunctions)and implicit(latent semantic analysis and time aspect consistency)cohesive devices.The thesis finds that the four indicators are in nonlinear development and variable;individual differences are significant.Stem overlapping is on the rise as a whole,but only for advanced learners.There are individual differences in the quality and diversity of the use of conjunctions,and the overall mastery of conjunctions is insufficient.Although students have made progress in latent semantic analysis and time aspect consistency,there is no significant variation development.This study has some guiding significance for the teaching of second language writing.
