In the era of digital resources tend to be homogeneous, special collection resources are the resource systems that can best reflect the characteristics and individuation of libraries among all kinds of resource systems of university libraries. With the development of intelligent media era and the application of technology, the construction and service of library’s special collection resources are facing the test of transformation and innovation. Digital humanity and intelligent media empowerment bring new opportunities for the construction of university’s special collection resources. Through the construction of knowledge system driven by intelligent media such as artificial intelligence, VR technology and AR technology, the article makes the special collection resources “live” and revitalizes the special collection in the intelligent media era from the perspectives of resource construction, space reconstruction and perceptual experience.
