摘要
管理者过度自信是影响公司创新活动的重要因素。以2010—2020年中国A股上市公司为样本,实证检验了管理者过度自信与利用式创新以及探索式创新之间的关系。研究发现,管理者过度自信会显著促进探索式创新,抑制利用式创新。此外,董事会职能背景异质性对以上关系起到调节作用。
Managerial overconfidence is an important factor affecting the company's innovation activities.Taking Chinese A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2020 as samples,this paper empirically tests the relationship between managerial overconfidence and exploitative and exploratory innovation.It is found that managerial overconfidence can significantly promote exploratory innovation and inhibit exploitative innovation.In addition,functional background heterogeneity of the board of directors moderated the above relationship.
