Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),the CPC Central Committee’s General Secretary Xi Jinping has made a series of important expositions on the fundamental task of molding high morals and cultivating talents based on people orientation,and has systematically expounded major educational theories and practical issues,such as"what kind of talents to cultivate,how to cultivate them,and for whom to cultivate them."The core essence of these important expositions lies in the cultivation of a new generation of young people capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation,the coordinated cultivation of talents in an all-round way and on the basis of various elements,and the cultivation of talents for the CPC and the country.Under the guidance of these important expositions,schools have achieved significant results in moral education,effectively improved intellectual education,significantly promoted physical education,unremittingly improved aesthetic education,and rapidly corrected the defects in labor education.These important expositions creatively inherit China’s excellent educational tradition,give a Chinese-style and innovative description of Marxist thoughts on all-round human development,and serve as an action guide to the development of socialist education with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
