Tianjin Initiative

2022年8月19—20日,世界职业技术教育发展大会在中国天津召开。来自123个国家(地区)的政府机构、国际组织、行业企业、学校、研究机构代表出席了大会,围绕“后疫情时代职业技术教育发展:新变化、新方式、新技能”的主题进行深入交流、广泛探讨。结合代表的观点、意见和建议,大会形成以下倡议。

The World Vocational and Technical Education Development Conference was held in Tianjin,China on 19-20 August 2022.Representatives of governments,international organizations,industries,enterprises,colleges and research institutes from 123 countries and regions attended the conference,and had extensive discussions and in-depth exchanges of views on the theme of“Vocational and Technical Education Development in the Post-pandemic Era—New Changes,New Ways and New Skills”.Based on the views,opinions and suggestions of the representatives,the following initiative has come into being through the conference:We believe that vocational education creates value.It helps people acquire skills and technologies,enhance competences and attitudes to be creative,as well as manage the surrounding changes.It is a skills-oriented,demand-driven and lifelong education.Vocational education is a significant variant to increase industrial efficiency,promote lasting inclusiveness and advance sustainable economic development.It is also an important pathway to boost full and productive employment,improve people's wellbeing and create a better life.
