加拿大研究型图书馆数据可视化服务调研及启示

Survey and Inspirations of Data Visualization Services in Canadian Research Libraries

高校图书馆提供数据可视化服务,既满足了包括数字人文学者在内的广大研究员的数据可视化需求,也彰显了高校图书馆的服务水平。采用网络调研法与主题内容分析法,从数据可视化概述、信息资源、工具和软件、培训以及咨询和帮助5个方面对加拿大研究型图书馆的数据可视化服务展开调研,总结加拿大研究型图书馆数据可视化服务的实践及特点,结合我国实际情况提出4点启示:提升资源丰富度,将服务与技能实践培训相结合,加强图书馆员专业团队建设,搭建多方协同合作的桥梁。

University libraries provide data visualization services, which not only meet the data visualization needs of researchers including digital humanities scholars, but also highlight the service level of university libraries.By using the method of network investigation and subject content analysis, the paper investigates the data visualization service of university libraries in Canada from five aspects: overview of data visualization, information resources, tools and software, training, consultation and help.This paper summarizes the practice and characteristics of data visualization service in Canadian research libraries, and in combination with the actual situation in China, it puts forward four suggestions for Chinese libraries to carry out data visualization service: enhancing the richness of resources, combining services with skill training, strengthening the professional team building of librarians, and building a bridge for multi-party collaboration.
