冯平山的图书馆事业贡献与景堂图书馆历史档案的价值

The Contribution of Fung Ping Shan to Chinese Librarianship and the Value of the Jingtang Library Historical Archives——Preface to the Volume of Jingtang Library of the Collection of Library Archives in the Modern Times

为进一步推动海外华人华侨与中国图书馆的研究,弘扬华人华侨的爱国主义精神,文章采用历史研究法和文献分析法,阐述香港侨领冯平山(1860-1931)的生平事迹和社会贡献,分析冯平山创办新会景堂图书馆、香港中华总商会图书馆和香港大学冯平山图书馆的目的、过程及其历史影响,探讨《近代图书馆档案汇编·景堂图书馆卷》的史料价值、学术价值和文化价值。

In order to further promote the research on overseas Chinese and Chinese Libraries and promote the patriotic spirit of overseas Chinese,this article,with the methods of historical research and literature analysis,describes the life story and social contribution of Hong Kong overseas Chinese leader Fung Ping Shan(1860-1931),analyzes the purpose,process and historical influence of the founding of the Jingtang Library in Xinhui,Guangdong,the Library of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and the Fung Ping Shan Library of the University of Hong Kong by Fung Ping Shan.On the basis of further analysis of the archival materials,the article points out the historical data value,academic value and cultural value of the Volume of Jingtang Library of the Collection of Library Archives in the modern times.
