A Study of the Pottery Li in the Huaihe River Basin from the Western Zhou to Spring and Autumn Period

淮河流域西周至春秋时期陶鬲的发展演变分为四期六段,从地域分布上可分为三个地区,分别为淮河干流区、苏北地区和鲁东南地区。淮式鬲是西周中期在周式鬲基础上形成的,莒式鬲是春秋早期在淮式鬲基础上形成的。淮河流域西周至春秋时期陶鬲的动态分布与周文化、淮夷文化、莒文化及楚文化等在淮河流域的势力消长变化有关。

The evolution of pottery li in the Huaihe River basin from the Western Zhou to the Spring and Autumn times can be divided into six stages dated into four phases.They fit into three regions in terms of geographical distribution:the Huaihe River main stream area,the northern Jiangsu,and the southeastern Shandong.The Huai-style li was formed in the middle of the Western Zhou dynasty out of the Zhou-style li,and the Ju-style li was formed in the early Spring and Autumn period on the basis of Huai-style li.The dynamic distribution of pottery li in the Huaihe River basin from the Western Zhou to the Spring and Autumn is related to the power flow of the Zhou culture,Huaiyi culture,Ju culture and Chu culture in this region.
