Objective To investigate the effect of Balint group training on self-efficacy,occupational stress and sleep quality of pediatric nurses. Methods A total of 40 pediatric nurses working in the Department of Pediatrics,Jiujiang Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January to December 2021 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the control group and the intervention group by random number table method, with 20 cases in each group. The control group received routine training, and the intervention group received Balint group training on the basis of the control group. Both groups were intervened for 8 weeks. The self-efficacy(general self-efficacy scale[GSES]),occupational stress(occupational stressor scale)and sleep quality(Pittsburgh sleep quality index[PSQI])were compared between the two groups 1 day before and 8 weeks after intervention. Results The GSES score of the intervention group after 8 weeks was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of intervention, the occupational stressor scale score and PSQI score of the intervention group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Balint group training applied to pediatric nurses can improve nurses'self-efficacy,reduce occupational stress and improve sleep quality.
