高职行业英语教师专业发展途径探究

Study on the Approaches of Professional Development of the EVP teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges

高职行业英语教师的专业素质和能力直接影响着人才培养的质量,加强行业英语教师的专业发展势在必行。高职院校行业英语教师专业发展具有一定的必要性,但目前高职行业英语教师专业发展存在教师专业知识与技能匮乏、学校评价与激励机制不健全、政府制度保障缺失等问题。从教师自身、高职院校和政府主管部门三个层面探索提升行业英语教师专业发展的有效途径,以实现高职院校培养高素质技能型人才的最终目标。

The professional quality and ability of EVP(English for Vocational Purpose)teachers in higher vocational colleges directly determine the quality of teaching.Therefore,it is imperative to strengthen the professional development of EVP teachers.However,there are some problems in the professional development of EVP teachers in higher vocational colleges,such as the lack of professional knowledge and skills of teachers,the imperfect evaluation and incentive mechanism of schools,and the deficiency of institutional guarantee of thegovernment.This paper explores effective ways to improve the professional development of EVP teachers from three levels:teachers themselves,vocational colleges and government departments,so as to achieve the ultimate goal of cultivating high-quality skilled talents in higher vocational colleges.
