Suggestions on Providing Standard Translation of New Terms into Tibetan Language

新时代藏文新词术语审定与普及不仅关系到少数民族语言文字的准确学习、使用和推广,也关系到少数民族群众对党的路线方针政策、国家法律法规的正确理解和把握,关系到民族地区各项事业的稳定发展。它对保障少数民族语言文字的健康发展、促进社会进步、维护民族团结和国家统一具有重要意义,因此,在藏语中统一和规范新词术语,制定藏文新词术语的国家标准,已经迫在眉睫。本文基于笔者多年参与新词术语的整理、翻译和审定工作,探讨了新词术语审定工作的意义,取得的成就,以及存在的问题和解决方案。

Providing standard translation of neologisms into Tibetan language is not only an issue of translation in the new era,but also related to the study,use and popularization of a standard Tibetan language.It will help ethnic minorities better understand the Party’s policies and state laws and regulations,contribute to the expansion of various services in ethnic areas,and promote the healthy development of the Tibetan script.It is also important for social progress,ethnic solidarity,and national unity.Therefore,formulating national standards for new terms in the Tibetan language has become a matter of urgency.This paper discusses the significance,achievements,and challenges in standardizing new terms based on the author’s experience.
