1938—1942年间,是新疆电影发展的第一个兴旺期,这直接得益于由延安来新疆工作的中国共产党人的领导与推动。当时在新疆放映的苏联影片向新疆民众展现了苏联反法西斯战争以及令人向往的社会主义国家形象;国产进步电影则打开了新疆民众了解抗战前线战况和国内各地百姓生活的窗口,引发现实的切肤之痛,激发了新疆民众的抗战热情,产生反帝抗战的“共情”力,在凝聚人心、维护祖国统一层面发挥了极为重要的作用。国产进步电影在新疆的广泛放映与传播,促进了国语在新疆的推广及普及,体现出中国共产党“文艺为大众服务”的文化战略。

1938-1942 was the first prosperous period of film development in Xinjiang,which directly benefited from the leadership and promotion of the Communist Party of China who came to work in Xinjiang from Yan'an.At that time,The Soviet films shown in Xinjiang showed to the people of Xinjiang the Soviet anti fascist war and the desirable image of a socialist country;Domestic progressive films opened a window for the people of Xinjiang on understanding the front line of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the ordinary lives of people all over the country.The films shown played a very important role in rallying people's hearts and safeguarding the reunification of the motherland as they triggered real pain,stimulated the people's enthusiasm for the war and generated the"empathy"force of the war of resistance against imperialism among the general people.The wide screening and dissemination of domestic progressive films in Xinjiang promoted the popularization of national standard language in Xinjiang,which reflected the cultural strategy of of"literature and art serving the public"of the Communist Party of China.
