新工科背景下地方高校大学英语教学改革路径探索

新工科建设强调借鉴国际经验,加强国际合作,积极推进工程教育国际化,提高中国工程教育面向未来的国际竞争力和影响力。与此同时,河南省因“空中丝绸之路”建设加速与世界接轨,郑州机场在国际上的影响力不断提升,国际化复合型人才的培养刻不容缓。因此,从国家战略、社会需求、企业需求及学生学习需求出发构建以专门用途英语为导向的课程体系,开展分层次教学,组建英语教师+专业课教师的虚拟教研室,既能够提高学生对大学英语学习的积极性,助力其专业发展和终身学习;又能够促进(工科)专业教师和大学英语教师的协同发展,帮助大学英语教师和专业教师成为复合型人才,教学相长,对国际化复合型人才的培养大有裨益。

The implementation of Emerging Engineering Education in China emphasizes learning from international experience, strengthening international cooperation, actively promoting the internationalization of engineering education in China, and improving the future international competitiveness and influence of engineering education in China. At the same time, due to the development of the “Air Silk Road”, Henan province is integrating into the world at an accelerated speed, the international influence of Zhengzhou airport is constantly improving and the cultivation of international talents to meet the needs of economic development is urgent. Therefore, the universities in Henan province should take the national strategy, social needs and students’ learning needs into consideration and then carry out teaching reforms of College English education through building an ESP oriented College English curriculum, conducting level-based English teaching, setting up virtual teaching and research section for College English teachers and engineering teachers. The teaching reform not only improves students’ enthusiasm for College English learning, but also contributes to their professional development and lifelong learning. In addition, it can also promote the coordinated development of engineering teachers and College English teachers, which is favorable for College English teachers and engineering teachers to become compound talents. Teaching benefits teacher and student alike, which is of great benefit to the cultivation of international inter-disciplinary talents as well as the development of Emerging Engineering Education.
