新世纪以来,教师教育改革成为英国教育改革的重要内容,英国将其视为迎接全球化背景下国际竞争的战略选择。在纵向的教师教育改革路径上,英国历届政府从拓宽教师教育途径、提升教师职业技能、改进教师专业标准、强调教师教学效果到重视学生学业表现,由质而量地推进教师教育改革。在横向的教师教育改革内容上,英国从最基本的教师及教师教育者的优生述选、职前与职后教师教育方案厘定、教师教育经费划拔以及教师教育管理部门优化,实现选师、养师、待师、治师的良性循环,有效推进了英国教师专业化发展与胜任力提升。
