评《<小世界>中浪漫传奇的原型研究》--兼论跨文化交流中的读者期待与脚本重构

Review on Prototypical Studies of Romance in the Small World:On Reader’s Expectation and Script Reconstruction in Cross-cultural Communication

《<小世界>中浪漫传奇的原型研究》一书以英国著名作家戴维·洛奇的代表作《小世界:学者浪漫传奇》为切入点,从跨文化视角,以读者出发,综合运用认知诗学、认知语言学和文学批评理论,从结构脚本、人物图式和情景框架三个模型研究读者期待与脚本重构对小说原型建构的重要性,充分挖掘了该小说的文本内涵和主题意义。然而外国文学作品的阅读过程可以看作是读者与文本、读者与作者以及读者与叙述者之间跨文化交流的过程,因此,跨文化交流中的读者期待与脚本重构有助于揭示原型建构对小说意义和人类认知的重要作用,这对中西文化交流具有重要的启示意义。

The book Prototypical Studies of Romance in the Small World,from the cross-cultural perspective and starting from the readers,comprehensively applies Cognitive Poetics,Cognitive Linguistics and Literary Criticism theories to study the importance of readers’expectations and script reconstruction on the prototypical construction of the novel from three models of structural script,character schema and scene frame,and fully excavates the text connotation and theme significance of the novel,based on the novel Small World:An Academic Romance,written by David Lodge,a famous British writer.However the reading process of foreign literary works can be regarded as the process of cross-cultural communication between readers and texts,readers and authors,as well as readers and narrators.Hence the reader’s expectation and script reconstruction in cross-cultural communication can help to reveal the important role of prototypical construction in the meaning of novels and human cognition,which is of great significance to the cultural exchanges among China and western countries.
