一种热发光锆石的宝石学特征研究

摘要 目前市场上出现一种因受热而具有发光现象的宝石级锆石材料,此类锆石高温加热后会发出橙红―红色的光,热源消失,发光现象则随之消失。此类锆石尚缺乏有关的宝石学研究。本文通过系统的光谱学、化学分析测试和数据分析,研究了此类锆石的宝石学特征,并初步探究其热发光的原因。结果表明,热发光锆石是结晶程度稍低的晶质锆石。此外,G1、G2、G3样品热发光强度与Fe含量成正相关关系,表明锆石中铁元素含量变化与出现热发光现象有直接关系,因此推断锆石样品的热发光由Fe元素导致。加热过程中变价元素Fe吸收大于可见光的能量,同时能量再以可见光能量和热能形式释放,直至能量全部释放,恢复原状。 A gem-grade zircon material with a luminescence phenomenon due to heating is currently available on the market.This type of zircon emits an orange-red to red light when heated at high temperatures,and the luminescence fades when the heat source disappears.There are few gemological studies on such zircons.In this paper,systematic spectroscopy,chemical testing and data analysis were employed to gain an understanding of the gemological characteristics of this type of zircon and to investigate the cause of its thermoluminescence preliminarily.The results show that the thermoluminescent zircon is a crystalline zircon with a slightly lower degree of crystallization.Furthermore,the intensity of thermoluminescence of G1,G2 and G3 samples was positively correlated with the content of Fe,demonstrating that the variation of Fe content in zircon is directly related to the appearance of thermoluminescence.Therefore,it is concluded that the mahogany luminescence of thermoluminescent zircon is caused by the presence of Fe.Fe,a valence-variable element,absorbs energy greater than visible light under heating conditions,then the energy is released as visible light and thermal energy until all the energy is released and its original state is restored.
