Ahead of the 94th birthday of the People's Liberation Army(PLA)on Aug.1,a group study session of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee was held on July 30.It focused on the absolute leadership of the Party over the armed forces and achieving the goals set for the centenary of the PLA in 2027.General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping,said achieving the goals set for the PLA centenary is a significant decision by the CPC Central Committee and the CMC to build a strong country and army.
