Forecasting of “June 2022” catastrophic flood in the Pearl River Basin

2022年5月下旬至7月上旬珠江流域西江和北江共发生7次编号洪水,防汛形势严峻。洪水预报预测是开展流域防洪部署的前提和基础,在此次洪水防御中发挥了至关重要的作用。探讨了珠江“22·6”特大洪水防御期间洪水预测预报的经验做法及实践成效,为进一步开展流域防洪工作提供借鉴。

From late May to early July 2022, seven recorded floods occurred in the rivers of Xijiang and Beijiang of the Pearl River Basin, which impose serious threats to flood control and disaster reduction. As the premise and basis for flood management, flood warning and forecasting have played a vital role in the basin. The practices and experiences of flood warning and forecast during the“June 2022”catastrophic flood of the Pearl River are introduced, which shall provide a reference for further flood control in the basin.
