Between Deconstruction and Reconstruction:Cultural Identity Dilemma in the Interaction between Agricultural Heritage and Industrial Civilization

农业遗产面临文化认同困境的根因在于工业文明的产生与现代叙事的主流化。在遗产话语出现之前,农业遗产的生产体系与记忆空间遭受工业文明的全面解构,当时的主流话语将传统农业文明放置在与工业文明对立的框架中去认知与叙事,故遗产认同长期处于“失语”状态。随着工业文明现代性问题的暴露,农业遗产得到了再发现与重新评估,但在“他者”视角下逐渐成为现代权力之间的一种博弈和实践对象,从而引发了文化认同的“失真”问题。重建农业遗产文化认同,难度在于坚守“农民认同”尺度和“传统”“现代”之间的限度,也就是在操作上如何将农业遗产客体化认同让渡到主体性认同,并使农业遗产在保持乡土底色的基础上被赋予“现代”性质。

The reason why agricultural heritage faces the dilemma of cultural identity lies in the emergence of industrial civilization and the mainstream of modern narrative.Before the appearance of heritage discourse,the production system and memory space of agricultural heritage suffered from the comprehensive deconstruction of industrial civilization.As the mainstream discourse at that time placed traditional agricultural civilization in the frame opposing industrial civilization for cognition and narrative,heritage identity was in a state of“aphasia”for a long time.With the exposure of the modernity of industrial civilization,agricultural heritage has been rediscovered and reevaluated,but it has gradually become a kind of deliberative and practical object between modern powers from the perspective of“other perspective”,thus causing the“distortion”of cultural subjects and their identification.As for how to rebuild the cultural identity of agricultural heritage,the difficulty lies in sticking to the scale of“peasant identity”and the limit of“tradition—modernity”,that is,how to transfer the objective identity of agricultural heritage to the subjective identity in operation,and how to transform the agricultural heritage into the“modern”nature on the basis of maintaining its local background.
