With the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutralization being incorporated into the overall layout of China’s ecological civilization construction,it will put forward higher renewal requirements for architectural design. The high energy consumption building design under the traditional mode is not only contrary to the goal of "double carbon",but also can not meet the diversified and personalized design needs of urban architectural space in today’s era. Based on this background,strengthening the effective application of energy-saving design in architectural design has burst out a strong practical significance and social value. Based on the overview of the importance and principles of energy-saving design in architectural design,this paper will make a specific analysis of the existing problems in its application process,and give targeted optimization strategies,in order to promote the green energy-saving development of the construction industry.
