Innovation and Development of ESP Teaching Against the Background of“New Liberal Arts”Construction

本文探讨了国内外专门用途英语(ESP)发展现状,结合国内“新文科”背景对ESP教学的新要求,从学科交叉融合、多模态教学法、人工智能技术运用三个角度分析了ESP教学创新实践,强调其在提高ESP教学质量和效果、顺应智能时代的潮流、培养交叉学科和技术性复合人才方面的作用。

This paper discusses the status quo of English for Specific Purposes(ESP)teaching and research at home and abroad.Based on the analysis of the new requirements for ESP against the background of“New Liberal Arts”construction in China,it is concluded that ESP teaching should be creatively supported with the integration of cross-disciplinary subjects,multi-mode teaching approaches and the application of artificial intelligence.They play an important role in improving the teaching quality of ESP,accommodating the trends of the smart era,and cultivating talents with both interdisciplinary and technical competences.
