摘要
本研究立足某理工院校非英语专业一年级研究生“基础英语”阅读课程,分析一套涵盖四种学术话语体裁的文本组合,采用“体裁分析法”,按照语类特征、语篇功能、体裁分析方法进行文本解读,并以一堂学术英语阅读课为例详述应用过程。通过调查问卷和半结构化访谈两种方法,调查学习效果。结果表明,“体裁分析法”能够培养学生的体裁意识,并能迁移到学生的文献阅读中。因此为学术新手开设通用学术英语课程极具现实意义。教师应加强“体裁分析法”的显性教学,选择多种科技文体作为输入材料;同时教师应加强对体裁知识和跨学科知识的学习。
This study investigates novice academic students’acquisition of genre knowledge based on the genre analysis teaching approach adopted for first-year non-English-major postgraduates in a polytechnic university.A portfolio of four science reading genres was used as reading materials.They were interpreted in terms of generic features,discursive functions and genre analysis.Students were surveyed for their views via questionnaires and interviews.The study shows that the genre analysis teaching method could improve students’genre awareness and that it is of practical significance to offer English for Academic Purposes(EAP)courses to novice academic students.EAP teachers should integrate explicit teaching of“genre analysis”into EAP courses,use various science genres in reading materials,and enhance their own genre knowledge and cross-disciplinary learning.
