2021年《国务院政府工作报告》及其英译本对比研究——基于主位类型和主位推进模式

A Comparative Study of 2021 REPORT ON THE WORK OF THE GOVERNMENT and its English Version:Based on Thematic Type and Thematic Progression

主位类型和主位推进模式源自系统功能语言学,从信息传递的角度对语篇描述和分析,用实义切分法划分句子为主位和述位,分析语篇的衔接与连贯。《国务院政府工作报告》(以下简称《报告》)是由中华人民共和国政府发布的公文,内容涉及中国经济、政治、民生和国防等方面。其英译本是全世界了解中国发展现状和计划的重要来源。本文采用定量统计和定性分析的研究方法,对比分析2021年《报告》及其英译本中主位类型和主位推进模式,从语篇连贯的角度研究《报告》及其英译本。为以《报告》为代表的政治类语篇的汉英翻译提供指导原则。

Thematic Type and Thematic Progression are originated from System Functional Linguistics,which describe texts from the perspective of massage as a clause.They divided the clause into two parts:theme and rheme,which can be applied to the analysis of textual cohesion and coherence.REPORT ON THE WORK OF THE GOVERNMENT(hereinafter referred to as“RWG”)is delivered by China s government.It includes many aspects of government s work such as:China s economy,politics,people s livelihood,national defense and so on.Its English version is a window for the world to know China s development and plans.This research applies quantitative and qualitative approach to compare Thematic Type and Thematic Progression in RWG and its English version.Studying the two texts under the framework of textual cohesion and coherence,a guiding principle for politic texts,particularly for RWG could be concluded.
