摘要
目前的综合英语教材大多是语言训练教材,因而其成为英语本科专业教学改革的主要制约因素之一。综合英语教材所表现出的本科性不足、专业性不高和学科性不强等问题直接导致了英语本科专业学生思辨能力不完善、知识结构不完整、学理基础不扎实等问题。五大学科方向的确立意味着我国英语本科专业教学改革必须突破以语言难度为系统层级的传统教材编写思路,探索如何以知识系统为基本框架来构建教材的系统性、关联性和层级性。
As textbooks for Integrated English,a core course for the English major,are basically language-based,they have bottlenecked the reform in the English major sector.Their academic and disciplinary weaknesses have handicapped students in developing their critical thinking,disciplinary knowledge and academic capability.The establishment of five disciplinary areas means that the English major should develop on the basis of the specified disciplinary areas.Therefore,we argue that it is high time for the textbooks for Integrated English to change so as to be up to what is expected for a university major in terms of academic disciplinary training.
