摘要
副文本是翻译研究中不可分割的一部分,它可以帮助读者获取原作的写作背景和历史背景,揭示文本不能体现的内容,为翻译研究提供新的角度。《吟边燕语》作为早期莎剧进人中国最重要的译著之一,对莎士比亚在中国的传播与接受具有重要意义。本文拟借杰拉德·热奈特提出的副文本理论,通过对林译《吟边燕语》副文本的分析解读林纤的翻译思想和翻译动机。
Subtext is an integral part of translation study,as it can help readers understand the writing background and historical background of the original work,reveal the content that the text can't reflect,and provide a new perspective for translation study.As one of the most important translations of Shakespeare's early plays in China,Yinbian Yanyu is of great significance to the dissemination and acceptance of Shakespeare in China.This paper intends to interpret Lin Shu's translation thought and motivation through the analysis of Lin's translation of the subtext of Yinbian Yanyu,based on the subtext theory proposed by Gérard Genette.
