Construction of Chinese National Image Shared by All Ethnic Groups

“树立和突出各民族共享的中华文化符号和中华民族形象”,是习近平总书记提出的新命题。在对“中华民族形象”界定的基础上,如何建构各民族共享的中华民族形象,首先必须坚持正确的目标导向,准确把握“树立和突出什么”的问题;在资源选择方面,要充分挖掘和有效利用历史、现实和精神等多种文化资源,多角度全方位展现中华民族形象;在路径优化方面,要注重借助各种纪念活动、民族节日庆典、民族团结进步创建、民族文化交流等多种途径,引导各族群众共创、共享、共传中华民族形象,增强各族群众对中华文化的认同,铸牢中华民族共同体意识。

“Establishing and highlighting Chinese cultural symbols and the image of the Chinese nation shared by all ethnic groups”is a new proposition put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping.This is a new proposition put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping.For the definition and construction of“image of Chinese nation”,first of all,we should adhere to the correct orientation and have a correct answer to the question“what is to be established and highlighted”;in terms of resource selection,we should fully explore and effectively utilize the various cultural resources such as history,reality and spirit,so as to present the image of the Chinese nation from multiple perspectives and in all directions;in terms of optimization path,we should make use of various commemorative activities,ethnic festivals,ethnic unity and progress creation,and ethnic cultural exchanges,etc.to guide people of all ethnic groups to create,share and transmit the image of the Chinese nation,enhancing the identification of people of all ethnic groups with Chinese culture,and consolidating a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.
