Analysis was made on main problems existing in the canal water conveyance works of Tuoying Reservoir irrigation zone, based on which the author discussed the advantages and potentials of pipeline water conveyance works, analyzed the benefits of pipeline irrigation, and probed into the development of irrigation zone water conveyance works with pipeline being substitute for canal.
