Xiao man tunnel is one of the components of Ningming trunk canal.Taking the open canal section at the outlet of Xiaoman tunnel as example, an introduction was made on the earth filling construction test for open canal dike, including the selection of testing sites and materials, the technical indexes and testing parameters of roller compaction test. The authors also present the whole process of field roller compaction test and the determination method of construction parameters, and analyze the testing parameters.
